How to Advertise to Developers in 2026 (Without Being Blocked)
Software engineers run ad blockers, ignore banners, and distrust sponsored content. Here is what actually reaches them, what a developer impression is worth, and how to buy it.

AdMyChat is an ad network that pays developers for the time they already spend coding and using AI chat tools. You install an extension, keep working normally, and earn a share of what advertisers pay to reach you. It is free for developers, who are paid rather than charged.
AdMyChat's extension reports that you are actively working, and shows one small sponsor placement alongside your session. Advertisers pay for those placements, and the developer keeps a share of that revenue, which accrues to a wallet balance and is cashed out once it reaches $15.
No. AdMyChat never reads source code, prompts, file contents, or keystrokes. The extension sends only timing signals indicating whether a session was active, so there is nothing sensitive to leak. This is the core design constraint of the product, not a setting you have to enable.
Earnings scale with active hours and the advertiser demand for your profile. Developers keep the majority of what advertisers pay for their placements, and can withdraw once the balance reaches $15. Referring other developers who are approved raises your share to 100% for three days per referral.
AdMyChat supports VS Code and its forks (Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium) through a marketplace extension, the ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini web apps through a browser add-on for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and the Claude Code CLI through a status-line integration.
Yes. Developers never pay anything to use AdMyChat. The network is funded entirely by advertisers who want to reach software engineers, and developers are on the receiving end of that money.
Sign in at admychat.com with GitHub, GitLab, or Google to join the developer waitlist. Every signup is reviewed and approved by an administrator before it can earn, which keeps the network clean and advertiser rates high. You are emailed as soon as your account is approved.
Every developer gets a referral link from their wallet page. When someone signs up with your link and is approved by an administrator, you get three extra days earning at a 100% revenue share. The days stack, so three approved referrals is nine days of keeping everything you earn.
Advertisers create a campaign at admychat.com/advertiser, set a CPM rate and daily budget, and choose which surfaces and developer interest categories to target. Placements appear next to real working sessions of verified developers rather than on general web inventory.
Signups are approved individually by an administrator before they can earn, accounts must meet a minimum age on the identity provider, datacenter IP addresses are rejected, and rapid repeated activity is deduplicated so a flood of signals still pays only once. Advertisers are billed only for activity that survives those checks.
AdMyChat counts attention ticks rather than served pixels. One tick is five seconds during which the developer's editor or chat window was focused, input happened recently, and a sponsor placement was on screen. Idle time, datacenter traffic, and repeated signals inside the same short window are never counted, so the numbers are smaller than a served-impression count and correspond to real attention.
When a developer opens a sponsor link, the click is recorded server-side against that developer and campaign with a timestamp. Only one click per developer, per campaign, per minute is counted, so double-clicks and deliberate loops cannot inflate the figure. Click-through rates in the advertiser dashboard come from the same records that determine developer payouts.
Advertisers set their own CPM rate and daily budget cap per campaign, and spend is drawn from a prepaid balance funded by card, PayPal, Wise, or bank wire. The daily cap is enforced when ads are served, so a campaign cannot overspend it. Campaigns can target specific surfaces such as the editor, AI chat, or terminal, and specific developer interest categories.
